Q: What does RxOcean.com do?
A: RxOcean.com provides consumers with a virtual prescription management system where they can securely and confidentially store and access their personal health information in a simple and easy to use manner. Users can also upload soft copies of their reports (X-ray, MRI etc) and access their important medical and personal health information, 24/7 from any Internet-connected computer anywhere in the world.
Apart from storage of medical information, users can seek second opinion on their medical reports from our panel of doctors. Users can also contact our dietitians / dieticians and doctors to seek information on various ailments and lead a healthy and balanced life by getting their diet planned. Weight loss and Weight gain services are available through our panel of finest doctors and dietitians / dieticians. Our USP is that for each weight loss / weight gain client a team of doctor and dietitian / dietician work on the case. (Kindly note we dont provide any supplements and weight loss is ensured through dietary modifications and lifestyle changes only).
Q: How do I get records into my RxOcean account?
A: There are multiple ways in which you can upload your records into RxOcean.com. Either by logging into your account and adding your records manually or by sending across copies of your records to admin. Care will be taken at all times to destroy your personal health records once the information has been uploaded onto the website so that they don’t fall into hands of unauthorized personal. Please note because of the amount of data we receive it is impossible for us to courier health records back to customers. Hence we request you to send across Xerox copies of your records and not the originals.
Q: How secure are my Health Records?
A: Each account is secured by a unique combination of User ID and password. If RxOcean system detects multiple attempts to access an account with an incorrect password, it will “lock” the account.
In addition to passwords and data encryption, data access is protected through multiple levels of network security to prevent unauthorized access and to help protect the privacy and integrity of customer data. We use state-of-the-art firewalls which permit or deny connections based on packet filtering, application proxying, and pre-existing sessions.
RxOcean employees do not have access to any information placed into the system by our customers. We do not know what is in the records saved; and we do not sell this information to anyone. Our Customer Care Representatives do not know any user passwords and can only reset a password upon verification of the user.
While RxOcean.com is not subject to guidelines issued by Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), we voluntarily follow these guidelines for security and safety of your records.
Q: What happens when I send my records to RxOcean?
A: Each time a document is received from our clients, we follow a certain set of steps. Upon confirmation our personnel enter the data into the database and your records are destroyed to save them from unauthorized access.
Q: How do I view my records?
A: Next to each new record is a "view" link. Click on this and a new browser window will open with your document shown in Adobe .PDF format. (If you don't have Adobe Reader, click here to get it free).
Q: How do I file my records?
A: You can file your records in either of the following ways a) Type each of the prescriptions online b) Send a Xerox copy of your records to Admin.
Q: How do I find my records after they are filed?
A: Your records will start appearing against your name or other members of the family as and when they are typed in. RxLocker Screen.
Q: Can I store non-medical information on the site?
A: We discourage our users to do the same. Although, you can store all information related to your health on this website.
Q: Can I print out my records?
A: Yes. When you view your records, you can print them or even save them to your PC local drive.
Q: Can I give someone else access to my information if I choose?
A: Yes. The information is yours and you can do with it as you please. You should treat your RxOcean password with the same care that you treat the PIN on your ATM card.
Q: Can my Family Physician access my records ?
A: Yes. If you wish you can provide read/write privileges to your Family physician.
Q: Can I delete information from my account?
A: Yes, you can delete any document. However, please bear in mind that once a document is deleted, it cannot be recovered.
